I like David's reasoning for his choice: "I am in a desperate situation! ... But let us fall into the hands of the Lord for his mercy is great. Do not let me fall into human hands." see v.14. In my own desperate and/or sinful circumstance, like David, I cried to the Lord to let me fall into the hands of the Lord for our Lord is merciful Lord. What I have learned in my walk with the Lord, no matter what circumstance I am in, even in a sinful situation, I need to choose the Lord. Like the Lord stated in v16, "...the angel was preparing to destroy Jerusalem, the Lord relented and said to the death angel, "Stop! That is enough!" I know at many moments of my life, our Lord had said those words to the death angel on my behalf. I thank our Lord for his mercy to me through his son, Jesus, who had died for my sins on the cross, and when I confess my sins, He restores me.<br />
