Job 32:7-8
7 I thought, ‘Age should speak;
advanced years should teach wisdom.’
8 But it is the spirit in a person,
the breath of the Almighty, that gives them understanding.

Elihu, although younger than Job's friends who spoke based on their earthly wisdom and experiences, spoke from the spirit in a person. It is the Holy Spirit that guides us and gives us wisdom and understanding, not our own words that we may boast. Studying the bible and spending time with our God will help us discern God's will through His Spirit that resides in our hearts.

The prophet Isaiah spoke of the Spirit in

Isaiah 34:16

16 Look in the scroll of the Lord and read:

None of these will be missing,
not one will lack her mate.
For it is his mouth that has given the order,
and his Spirit will gather them together.

Jesus told His disciples in

Luke 12:12

12 for the Holy Spirit will teach you at that time what you should say.”

Paul in his letters to the believers in Corinth spoke of the Spirit from God.

1 Corinthians 2:10-13

New International Version (NIV)

10 these are the things God has revealed to us by his Spirit.

The Spirit searches all things, even the deep things of God.

11 For who knows a person’s thoughts except their own spirit within them? In the same way no one knows the thoughts of God except the Spirit of God.

12 What we have received is not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, so that we may understand what God has freely given us.

13 This is what we speak, not in words taught us by human wisdom but in words taught by the Spirit, explaining spiritual realities with Spirit-taught words.

My prayer, may the Holy spirit of God reside in me and guide me.
